the blue lab is a Film Studio and Generative Art Lab founded in 2014 in Los Angeles by film director and creative director J. Felipe Orozco and production designer and art director Sara Millán. With backgrounds in design and over 25 years of combined experience in filmmaking, advertising, and design, the studio bridges cinematic craftsmanship with emerging technology.

We specialize in film production, generative art, postproduction, branding, art direction, and props design.

Since its founding, The Blue Lab has contributed to more than a hundred advertising campaigns and numerous film and television projects for clients including Disney, Audible, Spectrum, T-Mobile, Toyota, Chevy, Wells Fargo, Aflac, Makiné Studios, MarVista Entertainment, Epic Films, Parkside Pictures, Drafthouse Films, and Amazon Studios.
